ABOUT ME

My dedication to movement, music, and mindfulness is evident in my extensive experience and studies. As a certified Yoga Instructor, I bring knowledge and expertise to my teachings. I am committed to providing safe and healing yoga practices for those interested in practicing.

My approach to teaching yoga is rooted in tradition while maintaining an adaptive and inclusive environment. I gently guide students, emphasizing the importance of breath and mindful movement. By integrating creative themes into each class, I encourage students to explore the practice with curiosity and self-awareness, fostering a sense of compassion towards themselves and others.

Through my teachings, I aim to cultivate peace from the inside out, empowering students to find support and nourishment within their daily lives. My goal is to create a sanctuary where individuals can connect with their bodies, minds, and spirits, leaving each session feeling centered.

Oncology Yoga

Yoga can be a great support to cancer survivors and students post-treatment. Oncology yoga helps students minimize the side effects of treatments, anxiety, and depression and helps build and maintain strength, balance, and overall health. If you would like more information, please contact me for a free 1:1 session on how I can further support you.

Flow

Shift from the busy world into a more relaxed state with a gentle and supportive yoga class. Intentionally practicing a slower-paced flow will warm up, strengthen, and stretch muscles and joints while calming the mind. Flow through comfortable and supportive postures mild enough for any body type and end with guided pranayama and meditation before Savasana.

Mary teaches in a way that makes yoga fun and accessible to everyone. When I joined her class I knew I needed yoga but was very unmotivated. Mary made me feel comfortable to get started and commit to my yoga practice and I now have a solid understanding of physical alignment and the way my own body moves! I have attended yoga camps and many classes, but Mary’s teaching feels different. The gratitude with which she starts each session and the connection with body soul and spirit are very grounding for me. When trying new poses, Mary gently pushed me to develop, always knowing when I was capable of doing a new pose before I realized it myself. Mary is so welcoming and accommodating to each individual in her classes. She asks each one what their needs are for the day and tailors the class to meet individual needs. Mary, you are such a wonderful teacher! You have taught me so much about what really matters, how to take care of myself, and how to appreciate my body.
